Video Mapping

“Video Mapping” is the projection technique to display images on the irregularly shaped objects by defining the texture of the object as a map on the computer and then matching the contents with the texture of the image surface.

It is based on the three-dimensional perception of visual components such as video, animation, graphics which are prepared for the texture of the buildings, by gaining perspective. The fact that the texture is a matte surface that holds the image, the light color and the sufficient throw distance in front of it are the prerequisites for a good video mapping show.

In 2010 we had our first mapping experience on the Haydarpaşa Train Station building and we realized that we are already ready for it. Since then, we have been improving our capabilities with different projects. Lately, we have focused on our work with “Dataton v6”, especially on mapping on 3D surfaces.
